Recycled water preparations step up a gear

With three months to go until Ballina Shire Council commences its recycled water service in July, preparations to start the new service have stepped up a gear.

Council’s Water and Wastewater Manager, Tim Mackey, said a suite of preparations, which have included incident response training, were important to ensure key staff members were prepared for the start of the ground-breaking new service.

“All of our preparations from testing each treatment unit to incident response training are a reminder of how thorough the process has been to ensure the delivery of crystal clean recycled water in July,” Mr Mackney said.
